Audition: My audition was good, i practiced and practiced. I think i could of had more confidence and more technique. I could of used more more hand gesturs and use the space around me instead of just standing there. i think the acting was good because i used voice and i tried to connect with the person that was playing Seymour, i tried to use movement and tried to make it look more realistic. I could have listened to the song over and over to get the timing and and pitching right, and listen to the lyrics and learn them so that i dont forget them when i am singing.
Rehursals:
First: The first rehursal i had, i had to learn a dance rutine to 'Suddenly Seymour' it was very difficalt at the start but once i practiced it a few times it became easier to do in the end once we all practiced it, it turned out really good, there still needs to have a little more work done to it, but if we all put in the practicing then it will be a really big improvement.
Second: The second rehursal we all worked on what we had done on the first rehursal and once we had done that we added more movements to it so we could finish the first song and go onto the next one. you could tell that everybody had worked on the dance because it was coming together really well and we all know when and where we should be at the right times.
Thrid: The third rehursal we started on the dance to 'Little Shop Of Horrors', it was very difficult because ther were more steps and a lot more to learn and also trying to remember the steps to the other dance and this new will be a little harder, with this song the dance moves are a little quicker then the other one. it was also hard because we tryed to learn the hole dance all in one day which was hard but to remember it we went over and over so that when it comes to the time it would look good and that it will come easy to us.In the end it looked really good considering we had one lesson to do it in.
Forth: The forth rehursal i had to go over the two songs and dance and with one of the dance we ended up putting movement into and i was the person that had to do more movements and i had to learn more and remember it. we had to go over that a couple of times so that it looked better and so that i could remember`it for the next time i had rehursals and so that it will look better.
Fifth: In our fifth refursal we worked on a couple of scene and ran through them a couple of times and then after we worked on that we tried to work on fitting the sing and the acting in so that we can fit it all together. We did that a couple of times and then we decided to run through it without stopping so that it will look better and so that it will come easier to us when we performe it on the night.
Sixth: In the sixth rehursal we worked on fitting the scences and the songs together, we had to do it a few times because it didnt look right, so we had to go through it more so that it can look better and wer can get the timing right and then it will look so much neater. After that we worked on that, we decided to do more secnes to get the play done quicker.
Seventh: In the seventh rehursal we worked on going through what we have worked on, wed worked on the timing and the dances because the dances looked so scruffy, so we worked on them slower and made our movements bigger and sharper, once we got all of that, it looked so much better and more rehursed. After we did that we had to work on the movements for the acting to make it look more realistic and that everyone should be in charactor.
Eighth: In the eighth rehursal we worked on the scenes that we were doing before and the dances to make the performance look good and better. We did the dance to 'the dentist' and a little more of 'Little Shop Of Horrors' and 'Suddenly Seymour' and then after we did that we went through a little bit of the acting. When they were going through the acting and 'the dentist', we went off to practice the dances and the songs that we are in so that it could look good, after we did all of that we went through the hole thing to see what it looks like all the was through, it looked good but there was a lot of work to be done.
Ninth: In the ninth rehursal we went through where we got up to a fwe times and then we thought it would be better to get the songs done quicker aso that we can do the scenes quicker to so that when it comes to performing the play it wont take as long to do just one scene and one song, because the play is meant to be up to at least 1hr and 30mins or 2hrs.
